What is Graffiti Designer?
Graffiti Designer is an application available for Apple’s iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad devices. It is available for free download on the App Store, and is a universal app, which means it runs (and is optimized) on all of the above devices.
Graffiti Designer allows you to create and design “Graffiti”, or fancy, stylized text. There are countless combinations of fonts, colors and styles that allow you to design the Graffiti you want. Simply play around with the colors, fonts and combinations and you’ll have designed something unique and fun.
After the design process, you can save the Graffiti as a photo in your device’s Photos app, share it with your Facebook friends, or tweet the photo using Twitter. See the Share help section for more details.
Graffiti Designer Plus+
Graffiti Designer Plus+ is the upgraded version of Graffiti Designer, available for purchase under Settings. Plus+ removes ads and allows unlimited access to the Font Web Import Tool.
Tap on the “Upgrade To Plus+” button to begin the In App Purchase process.
If you have previously purchased or are upgrading from another device, tap on the “Restore Purchase” button in (Settings) to retrieve the upgrade.
Home Screen
The home screen is the main screen for the application. It’s primary function is to display your Graffiti in all of its glory. From here you can navigate to the Fonts, Style, Settings and Share tools.
Changing the Graffiti position
Use a touch-drag gesture on the Home screen to change the Graffiti’s position. Make sure it doesn’t go out of bounds, but if it does and you are not able to bring it back, you must force-close Graffiti Designer from the multitask app tray and relaunch the app again.
Tip: Use a pinch gesture on the Home screen to change the font size of the Graffiti.
Fonts
The Fonts tool displays all of the fonts available in iOS, as well as any imported fonts. Tap (Fonts) on the Home screen to open the Fonts tool. The Fonts tool allows you to select from all of the native iOS fonts available, as well as import fonts using iTunes or the Font Web Import Tool.
Selecting A Font
Choose a font by tapping on it. Your Graffiti will now be displayed using the selected font.
Changing the Font size
You are able to change the size of the font. You can either use the stepper within the Font tool or you can use a pinch-gesture on the Graffiti to increase or decrease font size. Using the pinch gesture is faster and more intuitive.
Importing Fonts
Select the Font tool, then select “Import”. You will be given the option to import the font via:
iTunes File Sharing How-To
How To Import:
Deleting Imported Fonts
You can delete any fonts that you have imported by tapping (Edit) and then pressing the red delete buttons. You are not able to delete native fonts. Tap (Done) to exit edit mode.
Font Web Import Tool
The Font Web Import Tool is available in the Graffiti Designer Plus+ version of the app. How it works:
The process is streamlined for adding multiple fonts. The supported font file types are: ‘.ttf’, ‘.TTF’, and ‘.otf’. Also, the app can handle .zip downloads of entire font families. Basically, there are limited exceptions where Graffiti Designer Plus+ will not be able to download a font found on the web. Tested websites are:
To change the default URL, go to (Settings) and enter the URL address of the website where you want the Font Web Import Tool to load up first.
Graffiti
The Graffiti tool allows you to apply a customized style to your Graffiti. Tap [Graffiti] on the Home screen to open the Graffiti tool.
Color Picker
Select a color from some of the most common used palettes from the intuitive color picker. Swipe to a different page for more colors.
Gradient Editor
The gradient editor allows you to manage and modify a list of ordered colors that can represent different gradients in a style. Tap on a color to enter the Color Picker, tap the green ‘+’ button to add a copy of the selected color, or edit the list by deleting or rearranging the colors.
Fill
The fill is the inside of your Graffiti. You can choose a Fill or Gradient fill type.
Outline
The outline has to do with the border of the Graffiti. You can change its width, color, type or even turn it off completely.
Shadow
The shadow effect will hover behind your Graffiti. You can set variables like the size, blur and angle offset, as well as the shadow color. Mix and match different variables for cool effects.
Background
The background is the canvas on which the Graffiti is drawn. You can choose a Fill, Gradient, Image from Photos or Image from Camera background type.

This feature is only available on devices running iOS version 5.0 and higher. Tweeting your Graffiti uses the integrated iOS Twitter functionality in iOS 5.0. It couldn’t be simpler:
You must have added a Twitter account for your device. See the device Settings for more details.
